Audio-Visual Analysis of Visitors’ Landscape Preference for City Parks: A Case Study from Zhangzhou, China

Soundscape perception is increasingly recognized as an important part of landscape preference and environmental experience. However, few studies have juxtaposed visual soundscape to compare their contributions overall preference. This paper aims quantify the contribution audiovisual visitors’ park The preferences visitors at seven sample sites in a city were investigated through field questionnaires three dimensions: landscape, acoustic landscape. results showed that (VLP = 7.53) was generally higher than (SP 7.08), while influence auditory (57%) on (OLP) found be greater (43%). ratio audio/visual decreased average sound level increased. Of all population characteristics, only educational (sig 0.034) could used effective predictor OLP (Impact coefficient ?0.103). In addition, older rated lower young visitors, females males. It harmony, color richness, contrast, plant coverage, diversity main attributes influenced preferences, quietness, vitality, richness impacts this study may useful for design regeneration.
